Dark Horse Acres is perfectly positioned for adventure with its secluded woodland setting and its unusual mix of dwellings. Whether you stay in one of our Geodesic domes or one of our forest offerings you can fall asleep underneath the expansive sky and wake to the sounds of the birds. No city light pollution here so if viewing the stars is your thing, our central community area allows for great stargazing. Come make memories as you relax with friends near a warm campfire and or hang in the trees to feel like a kid again.

Our geodesic domes offer a more traditional sleeping experience with beautiful bamboo floors, warm comfy beds with organic bedding complete with a full kitchen and private bath. Our forest dwellings are perfect for any adventurous traveler wanting a unique lodging experience. Set within the canopy of the forest our tree tents offer a space above the forest floor to sleep within the trees. Our forest dwellings are a little more off the grid and come with a fire pit and have access to several outhouses with composting toilets.

Time slows at Dark Horse Acres, you can feel yourself relax into a slower pace and find yourself marveling at the miracles of nature. If you sit long enough you might catch a fellow resident deer, a cunning red fox or maybe a turkey hanging in the trees or just nature’s silence.
